Dunsborough Town Football Club (DTFC) is a community-based club in the heart of the South West, bringing together players, families and supporters who love the world game. Formed in 2004 by club founder and life member Tony Plumb, the club has grown from a small local team into a thriving football community that now involves more than 400 players and their families from Dunsborough and surrounding areas.
Over the years our teams have enjoyed success on the pitch, including a Premier Men league title in 2020 and a Premier Women league title in 2022. Just as importantly, we have built a club culture that values effort, respect and enjoyment of the game at every level.

Our mission
We aim to inspire and empower people through football by providing opportunities for everyone, from first time Miniroos through to senior players and volunteers. DTFC is a hub where families come together to celebrate the game, support one another and build lasting connections. Guided by our values of inclusivity, sportsmanship and community spirit, we are committed to developing talent, promoting healthy lifestyles and keeping football accessible and enjoyable for all.
A club for the whole community
DTFC runs strong Junior and Senior programs with participation and team numbers increasing every year. Our junior arm offers multiple teams across the age groups, creating clear pathways into Youth League and Senior football. Our Senior program includes Men and Women Premier squads that compete in the top regional competition along with a Men Reserves team and a large training group.
We see ourselves as one club from Miniroos to Masters. Senior players are visible role models for our juniors, often volunteering as coaches, referees and helpers. Families, siblings and friends all share the sidelines which creates the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that DTFC is known for.
Championing women and girls in football
Growing the women and girls game is a major focus for DTFC. Female participation across the South West has risen strongly in recent years, and our own club has seen significant growth in girls teams and female players. From Jillaroos and all girls junior teams through to our Premier Women, we are building a pathway that allows female players to stay in the sport locally and feel supported at every step.
This work has been recognised at state level through Football Australia and Football West programs that highlight strong governance, inclusive environments and genuine commitment to women’s football.
Growing with the game
Football is booming across Australia and the South West. Between 2020 and 2024, registered player numbers in the region increased by 29 percent, with female participation up 17 percent and junior growth averaging 24.5 percent across local associations.
DTFC sits at the heart of this growth. Our club email list now exceeds 600 subscribers and our social channels reach more than 1 100 followers, which helps us keep our community informed and connected on and off the pitch.
More than just a football club
While football is what brings us together, DTFC is about much more than the ninety minutes on a Sunday. We host carnivals, community days, presentation events and social competitions that give people of all ages a reason to get involved. Whether you are lacing up your boots, cheering from the sidelines or volunteering behind the scenes, there is a place for you at Dunsborough Town Football Club.
